Their “Camp stew” is one of the best stews I had in a while. I’m happy another patron advised me to try it it’s very filling and has just the right ingredients to make anyone’s stomach happy and full. Their ribs are good but I’ve tried the best in the nation so it’s hard to compare against them I rated them 8.5 out of 10. As for BBQ this place keeps their menu simple and they do it right so I can’t knock it at all just wished they had Brisket...if I’m ever in the area again they will hook me again.. must try..

Pork BBQ sandwich was great. Remember to try with hot BBQ sauce and get large size sandwich.

When they ask hot or mild, I always say hot. The only BBQ place I know that it's actually spicy but with a really good flavor. Employees are always friendly and the food comes out fast... and really, really good.

So good we stop flevery time we're in town!

They got a Q-potato that is sure a good deal. Very filling and tasty to.

Ate at Hooks BBQ for the first time after we moved our daughter into Troy for the school year. By far one of the best BBQ I've ever eaten! Got a pork plate with two sides of fried okra and baked beans which were also delicious. They also serve a slice of pound cake on the side, which was a nice treat. I highly recommend Hooks BBQ!

The food is delicious and my family always gets pulled pork, chicken, ribs and baked beans whenever we go (we also love the hot dogs). It's definitely worth the drive from Montgomery to Troy!

Hook's has great BBQ! I've eaten BBQ all over the South and Hook's is easily in the top 10%. Their meat is always tender, not burned or dried out, and without excessive fatty pieces. Their Camp Stew is delicious and you can get a small cup as one of your sides even though it's not listed as a side on their menu. Sweet tea is great too. Definitely recommended.

Got the regular sandwich plate. First time in a long time I have had barbacue...it was delicious!

The ribs are delicious as are the giant baked potatoes. The staff make eating there a fun experience.

Smoke almost killed me but the device was great

Excellent BBQ. The BBQ baked potato is the favorite of my guests when they come through town, though I often get the barbecue nachos. It can get crowded during peak times, so if you have a very large group of more than 4-6, you could struggle to sit together.

Chose this restaurant based on Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. Had the BBQ chicken; wife had the rib/chicken combo. Really good. Rice was excellent also.

Did not like the BBQ Pork Sandwich. Very dry and not enough sause. Fries were good.

Hooks is a must visit. From the billows of delicious smelling smoke to the perfectly smoked meat, the res nothing left to be desired from this place

Barbque is not my favorite but my family loves it. This place though makes me really like barbque!! Good food, baked beans are a must try! Will be back in when we come back this way!

Amazing food, great prices I could barely walk out and still had to get a to go box w enough for another meal. Staff and other customers were so friendly!!!!!

Whenever we come through Troy we make sure to visit Hook's. Stellar barbecue and service for a really good price. Today's special was a regular sammy of succulent pulled pork (or chicken), fries and a drink for $6.99. An extra buck would get you a large sammy. The ribs and sausage are on point as well as every side that I have tried.

Love the large smoked chicken salad.

Service was quick, nice and food was delicious. I got the regular rib plate which included two sides (I had baked beans and potato salad), pickles, two slices of bread aanndd pound cake😋.
